I also taught a course on TCP/IP networking at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Before that I was the Computer Services Coordinator for the Canadian Red Cross

In a life previous to that I was a Clinical Engineer with Edmonton's Capital Health Authority where I did engineering-related stuff to medical equipment and managed the odd Lantastic LAN and Linux box (kernel 0.90 I'm proud to say)

Previous to that I was a Research Associate for the Department of Neurosciences at the University of Alberta where we worked on equipment that assisted stroke patients and paraplegics to walk.

In my spare time I wrench on Volkswagens, topple down hills on a mountain bike , listen to jazz fusion, read books on psychology and technology, match wits with my daughters, pat my dog on the head, take long moonlight walks on the beach.... whoops... wrong ad.

I dabble in photography with a Canon 350D and post some of my work on Flickr

Like most Web 2.0 dudes I'm on Facebook  and  LinkedIn, and on Twitter as @Vince_Waldon.
